Tara Treasures was founded by Melbourne couple Jooli Chan and Jag Gurung, who set out not just to make beautiful felt toys but to create meaningful employment for women artisans in Nepal — where Jag grew up. Every piece is hand-felted by skilled Nepalese women using 100% natural New Zealand wool and non-toxic dyes, and the brand became Australia's first Fair Trade certified children's toy brand in 2024. We stock Tara Treasures because the products are genuinely beautiful, because parents and grandparents love the story behind them, and because children love them even more.
